After a hiatus-break of 19 long years, evergreen Mukesh Khanna known for his India's iconic superhero, Shaktimaan is back with a big-bang! Mukesh Khanna, the legendary actor who played the titular role, has made a power-packed comeback as Shaktimaan, this time also as a singer.
Mega-star Mukesh Khanna known for his powerful dialogues delivery in both movies and as 'Bheeshm Pitamaha' in legendary B R Chopra's epic TV show "Mahabaharat'  has discovered his own hidden musical talent. That of an amazing 'singer' and  Mukesh Khanna has now launched a music video, "Katha Azaadi Ke Veeron Ki" (Tales of Brave Freedom Fighters) in his own bass-baritone voice which pays tribute to India's freedom struggle and its unsung heroes.

Talking about his lyrical song as a "super-hero-teacher:, which he has sung Mukesh says, "Honestly I am neither a trained singer nor an agile dancer. Instead of getting a playback singer,  I sang in my voice, which elevates the authentic patriotic passion that I have as Shaktimaan..  Believe me, I will definitely not be comfortable playing a romantic hero or even a negative villain.  But my passion and forte is action and power-packed dialogues. My mission is to generate historic-reverence-value awareness among most of today's children who seem to be often controlled by and fully dependent for info-advice on Google, which frequently acts like their foster-parents", says Mukesh.

Continues Mukesh," Life for most of today's youth is very fast -- always expecting instant-results. They seem to be constantly running away from reality. They need to often take a breather-break. In the process they are losing emotional family sensitivity and reverence for elders and teachers and spiritual Gurus. Which in the past has always been a proud integral part of Indian culture. Our education system needs to be revamped and the Government should incorporate major elements of the ancient Gurukul system. Where every young student is trained to become self-sufficient and is also inculcated with moral values,"  insists Mukesh who does not seem to be miffed by the fact he has not yet received the Padma Shri or Padma Bhushan.for his outstanding contribution to the field of entertainment.

" Such eminent top-civilian-honours are given on deserving merit, and one cannot make an appeal or demand for them.. All the same, the unconditional love, loyalty and affection that I keep getting from millions of my young fans is no less than any prestigious Award, " counters film and TV star Mukesh whose on-going YouTube heart-to-heart candid home-production talk-show  called "The Mukesh Khanna Show" with mainly eminent  showbiz celebrities is immensely popular.

The historic enlightening melodious song, released under Bheeshm International, has garnered an overwhelming response especially from young children and adults alike on YouTube. The music video, brilliantly directed by Samit Bansal, features Mukesh  as Shaktimaan, quizzing ( 'paheli'-quiz format ) children about India's freedom fighters, including Jhansi Ki Rani, Shaheed Rajguru, Sukhdev, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Turram Khan. The energetic choreography by veteran Pappu Khanna and captivating composition by Surya Rajkamal perfectly complement the song's patriotic spirit. Incidentally, Suryakamal is the son of 'late' genius music-composer of B R Chopra's "Mahabharat' TV show.

Meanwhile, the million-dollar question nagging everyone's minds across India was and is that whenever  'Shaktimaan' is made into a 2-D and 3-D big-screen movie, who will play the super-hero title role. Top celeb names like the flamboyant Ranveer Singh was avidly speculated especially because in the past, Ranveer was very keen to play Shaktimaan and had came to meet Mukesh. But Mukesh had not given his consent
Which is why Mukesh clarified, " Yes the Shaktimaan-The Movie is happening with Sony in the near future. Now there is a nationwide popular consensus that Shaktimaan hai Ayushmaan !  Who better than Mukesh who deserves this renewed maan-sammaan to play Shaktimaan, instead of a new face... Outspoken energetic maha-gyaani Mukesh Khanna ( a brilliant FTII alumnus) shares his frank experience, "I've been fighting for years to get martyr status for our freedom fighters through the 'Jai Hind Abhiyan.' Dipak Kumar Tripathi approached me with this beautiful, informative song. I loved the concept, 'Hamare krantikari itne saare hai kaun?' (Guess the freedom fighters?). I decided to record it, and it became a perfect blend of my voice and Shaktimaan's iconic costume which is always an integral part of me and lives in my psyche, even after I remove it ."

Justifying his new musical-vocal dimension, tall, handsome Mukesh Khanna emphasized the importance of such patriotic informative songs, "No medium is more effective than vocal music to convey a message Because lyrical songs have much more recall value and grab the attention of children than just narrative commentary or dialogues. This song will educate listeners about our freedom struggle, major sacrifices, and rich history."  Mukesh plans to create a series of many such amazing songs to honor India's unsung patriotic heroes.

The captivating music video is a tribute to over 300 freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India's independence. Mukesh Khanna's initiative aims to educate and inspire the younger generation to learn about India's rich history and its daring freedom fighters and realize their priceless sacrifices, their bravery, and their patriotic passion
